Heather Beauchesne lives in, owns, and facilitates, with her husband Mike, the Inn on the 10th B&B.
She acquired her Bachelor of Fine Arts, with honours, in 2002 at the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to graduation she completed a large portion of her Fine Arts programming at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. After graduation she continued to study goldsmithing as apprentice to Ken Paulson, KP Goldsmiths, Saskatoon. In 2003 Beauchesne departed from Saskatchewan to attend the opening of a group show in Peterburough, On., and continued on to Montreal to accompany her independent women's clothing line, hb. After furthering her education in 2006, Fashion Design, LaSalle College, Montreal, Qc., Beauchesne went on to be 1 of 2 designers of men's denim with international distribution for Buffalo, David Bitton.
Beauchesne grew up in Spiritwood, Sk, returning home 4 years ago to provide Physical Therapy (MPT, 2012) services. Applying her experience in Montreal, Qc., and travel, she works closely with the regional economic development board to facilitated the presence of the arts in the community. Such endeavours include curating and facilitating the Main Street Gallery, Main St. Spiritwood. Throughout the year, and by request, Beauchesne provides small group, structured, art instruction.
